Loved this post! Thanks for sharing it. I was reminded how much that prayer has always freaked me out, and of my belief that spirits, Angels and family that has passed on is still here watching over us. Especially the young for whom the barriers between worlds are thin.

Thank you, Penny. Oh, we have stories to share! I believe angels and family and guardians are with us. I don’t know if you read my very first intro post, “My creative muse and the afterlife”, but it goes into one thing that really shaped me. I’ve had some other experiences, but I hold on to that one when I’m feeling that sense of “doom” or insecurity about this life.

Love the way you wove this early childhood experience that rocked you to your core in with your father's passing. The juxtaposition of these bookend moments in life hits hard as you question it all. Powerfully told.

Thank you so much, Heidi. It’s amazing how close it all feels, as a memory, but also how it’s such a different time an place. These types of memories make me believe that time folds over on itself, like we are still there and here, that past and present (or future) and all just figments of how we process time. But then again, my dad passing doesn’t feel like yesterday. I think I was so in it at the time, there was no other place I could be. So it is an isolated section all on its own, unfamiliar with the rest of life.

Thank you!!! It means so much to me that you keep reading, and that you come here to comment (even though you could just read it in email.) I’m trying to get more regular at this whole writing process, it would be nice to hand you a book to read one of these days.

Like life itself, this post weaves together many elements of your life seamlessly. We often don’t know why things happen or what the outcomes will be, but sometimes things align and we can see a pattern or bigger picture. Your photos also add in such a rich dynamic, making the entire thing feel very tangible. Can’t wait to read more.

Thank you my friend. You already know so many of my experiences, I appreciate that you see the patter or bigger picture here. I love that can both take old stories, and rewrite them with new information. That our writing never has to be as it was, but can grow with us.

Very interesting Anna. I like that you are thinking about the most important question in all of life. My father ,too, was a great father but not a believer and so I wonder. Have fun with your writing skills.

Thank you so much Janis for commenting! And thanks for taking the time to come over to do it. (I saw you commented on something before, but it was through email and I couldn’t figure out how to respond- it wasn’t as simple as just replying. It really means a lot to me.) These are questions I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about since I was very little. Thank you for the support on writing, I would like to be doing more, but I become insecure.

Thanks for your reply. I encourage you to continue writing and painting. These are of great value even if they are just hobbies. They can't say enough about how creative activities are beneficial to us mentally and psychologically. And you don't have to be perfect at it to benefit. If you ever want to discuss deeper subjects like what you have thought about since you were little, send me a personnal email. I promise a respectful discussion.
