I guess it was too much to hope that as a species we would be rescued twice. I sense the narrator is going through some kind of metamorphosis. Who and what will she be when this is all over?
I know, as the writer of this, I should probably know what they are exactly, but I’m not sure yet. This was one of those “pant-ser" stories that just created itself —the character told me what they wanted to say. While there is a second chapter (written that needs work), I think the creatures/new species need some exploration on what their ultimate goal is. Is it just to create a world in their image? Perhaps? But I think there is more to them than that.
I’m not sure if it was scary enough? I’m not sure that I related enough of the story into the words. Essentially it was just a concept of an idea, the idea of telling a story through journals and pictures.
Dude, the artwork...SO COOL! It seems like the people on the boat don't believe him, but he raises a fantastic question—where ARE the boats? I'm with our narrator, get the heck away from that island as fast as you can.
