It feels like the Garden must have felt when the world was new or as you said after the flood when the world was reborn. I love the idea that our world might get a third chance to get it right.
The story has taken on a definitely more spiritual dimension. ❤️
Thanks Penny, when I look at my own life, I think about all the times the Universe or God or Goddess or Guardian Angels reach down and give us an opportunity to do something again. How lessons we need to learn repeat themselves. If we get this chance on an individual level, I imagine we must get these opportunities on a communal level, a societal level, a world level, and maybe even a universal level?
The naivety of our narrator is so clear in this entry. When he says "I can’t question the glory of my Creator" we see how fully sure he is this place is in fact a new Eden. He's focused on the beauty and the birds, even worrying the music they are playing is "too brassy" for what he imagines are pure/new humans. He's so set in his thinking, I wonder if anything will change his mind. So excited to get to the island!
Birds and music and nudity. Loving how this story unfolds :)
I like how you narrowed that down! Birds, music, and nudity! All the best for these islanders.
